Rosy Fingered Dawn

This morning it was 6:20 when the voices shouting from below wheeled the creaking generator (I now recognize yesterday’s heavy piece of machinery to be a generator) into the lane. Drilling commenced at 6:45. The bed is shaking. Even my teeth are thrumming. My head is completely congested, I suppose from all the fine dust that has also coated everything in the house. I’d have to say that a hotel is looking good again.

Resonance? I hope not, because it is so horrible that we only want to see it in the physics lab.

Rosy Fingered Dawn was the goddess who brought daylight to the ancient world of Homer. Nothing apocalyptic, nothing from a physics lab.

Kathy, I took a pass by your lane today after Coffee Tree. OH MY GOODNESS. Yes, pictures and words can not describe the mess. Our spare bedroom is yours should you require it. Even just a night of peace (although I can’t guarantee you won’t be woken up at 6am but maybe a 3 year old is more tolerable??)

Be careful what you offer, Sara! We may be over after dinner!

The campus is under construction, too. A sign says it is a roof replacement project, which started before I came. Terribly, nothing shows when it will end. Looks like it takes forever….
