I’m not having the kind of day I expected. For one thing, I’m staying home in the blanket of quiet inside the lane. I’m told that traffic jams reign beyond, but I wouldn’t know. I’ve been surprised by snow falling all day, more than I have ever seen in Shanghai.
All we need is a star on the of the big tree in our garden; here’s the view from our bedroom balcony:
Our bumper crop of ju zi on the twin trees is turning into a freezer full of orange popsicles.
And of course the neighbor’s palm is more than a little surprised!
I’m going to stay curled up in my tingzijian with a pot of green tea.
Beautiful photos, Kathy! Happy New Year!
