Hello Kathryn,

I've posted a few comments on your blog-absolutely love it and have had fun discovering your city life in China.

I already mentioned that my family and I were working on getting over to China to teach for a year. One of the reasons we are doing this is to get out of our comfort zone and see/experience something new. I've also begun thinking that at the end of the year I would like to find an internship in the import/export industry-which is what my studies were focused on (or marketing, as it would be an area I've always wanted to work in)- in either Shanghai or Beijing so as to advance in my professional career.
I just happened across the link the article your son posted about working for the garlic company and was wondering if you would know how a person would go about finding an internship (or perhaps your son would be more knowledgeable from recent experience) in one of the larger cities of China-especially in one of the two above mentioned industries.
I would love any feedback/advice you might have:) And...as the weather gets nicer, I'll be looking forward to hearing about more of your adventures and observations!

Best,
Christine

Thanks for that! And yeah, I keep on taking pictures because there's just so much that amazes me. Most days I see something that I have to photograph for fear that I'll think later that I made it up. Do you live here? If so, I'm sure you know what I mean.
